The app finds ways to deny users points that were earned. On at least two Target receipts I was denied over 1000 points, including on purchases that were made largely for the points. Why, because the clerk tore off the receipt unevenly so the store name was not technically on the receipt, despite the fact that the logo and website of the store were all on the receipt. I am not going to ask an overworked clerk to reprint a receipt in the middle of a holiday rush.
Why the hell do you require access to microphone to earn walk-in kicks??? Update: I still don't understand why you need to have microphone access. Mind explain more in the app descriptions? Also, you mentioned that only some of the partners require this, so does that mean I can get walk-in kicks in others even if I don't give that permission to the app? Mind sharing a list so I know what to expect?
First, let me say I LOVE Shopkick. I have been a member for years & my daughter and I love Shopkicking together every weekend. However, I have to say I HATE the way the individual scan items are arranged in the app in this latest update. Scannable items are arbitrarily assigned to a category that rarely matches up with that store's org method, making it hard to find items. (Nesquik is not in Breakfast & in Walmart, it's in Beverages and in the Condiments aisle.) The app's org system also makes it impossible to see items left to scan in a store without tapping on each individual category. The category only summarizes the total # available (including scans available if I scan the receipt), It would be great if you could separate the # of scannable items vs the # of items that will earn kicks if I purchase so I can quickly see if I've missed any. The last issue I have is that when I tap on a store's available kicks, it takes me to a summary page that shows each category plus a few items. If there are more than 3, I have to tap "see all." I have missed several items cos I didn't see that & left the store thinking I scanned all, only to find out later I missed some.
Great app to earn free gift cards. There are many fun and easy ways to earn lots of kicks to redeem a gift card of your choice. Walmart, Target, and Best Buy are the best stores to scan products at to earn gift cards quickly.
The bar code scanner rarely works now. I'm missing out on kicks.
You scan an item and gets points, you purchase that same item submit the receipt and get denied your kick points! What a joke of an app!!
