Radio Nova Nacional is a web radio station
It all started as a father and son project at the beginning of the decade. Because the radio director is a former audio operator at Rádio Mauá Solimões and loves music, as well as his son who is a recording technician and audio operator, they decided to set up a professional web radio.
Without any kind of support, they founded Nova Nacional radio in Portugal, in Greater Porto, in 2006, being the pioneer in web radios in the city.

Radio Nova Nacional currently has the main role of providing services to people from Mesquite through information in journalism and musical entertainment. Since our beginnings, we have always been present at the main events in the world.
Engagement in charitable campaigns – we lend support through advertisements as well as broadcast spots from the federal government and the ministry of health.
Target Audience
Rádio Nova Nacional is a station that is geographically segmented and aimed at audiences in Mesquita - RJ. Through our programming we managed to reach various audiences in our city.
In our journalism schedule, which takes place from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 7:30 am, 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm, 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm, the target audience is adults, from 18 to 40 years old.
In the part of musical programming that starts at 7:30 am and goes until 7:00 pm, with numerous programs, its main audience is adults, from 18 years to 40 years old.
The History of Internet Radio
Web radio is an audio transmission service over the Internet that uses streaming technology, capable of transmitting in real time, no longer using tuning in a frequency through the Dial of a receiver device.
The first internet radio was launched in 1993 by the American Carl Malamud, the “Internet Talk Radio”. However, the first commercial station to transmit continuously and live was Klif radio, from Texas - United States, from 1995. In Brazil, the first radio to exist only on the internet began on October 5, 1998, radio Totem.
It is very successful in the United States and ascends in the rest of the world, in Brazil it is still not very popular, it is a recent incorporation to the country. It is necessary to adapt to the new support (the internet) that offers several possibilities, in addition to the best sound quality; resources that expand programming formats; interactivity, with podcasting, polls and interaction with social networks; dynamism; embraces new genres; aggregates textual and image elements, such as the publication of images, hypertexts, files, videos and drawings.
The webradio is undergoing a continuous discovery process, as all its possibilities are not yet known;
The reach of analogue is national, while online radio reaches the world creating a cultural convergence, in addition to multimedia.
