Love the app. Fluent and organized. Absolutely love that you can stream showtime live. Big plus. One major downfall of showtime Is the audio qualiity. They are the only mainstream streaming service that does not provide 5.1 audio. Showtime needs to get with the times. Netflix, hbo, Hulu, Amazon prime video, all provide 5.1 audio.
So many bugs when chromecasting, stalls and buffers so many times, pause and play controls don't even tend to work most of the time. Companies just need to hire Netflix to show them how to make a good streaming / casting app
Rarely does the play next episode button work. Often needing to disconnect from cast tv, back out a step 2 or 3 before you can continue. Plus the obnoxious Showtime theme music has got to go. There's a difference between noise & melodic tones, Da Da DAAA is just F'N horrible. Fire the idiot that came up with that "musical theme" I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app & nothing has changed
Got rid of HBO Now to get this app. I thought HBO now chrome casting abilities were terrible until I got this app. Once you cast this able it turns to trash. Don't ever pause it cause once you do you can't pick up where you left off. Don't close the app while it's casting either. Unless you wanna disconnect from the casting device just to reconnect again. Worst casting abilities I've ever used on any app. Thankfully this 1st month is free
This app is horrible. Constantly crashes in the middle of watching movies and shows and glitches several times after when I'm making attempts to get the video back up. Sometimes still won't stop crashing even after I've force stopped the whole app.
First- Tech support is a joke! Won't let you login as AT&T subscriber on certain flagship phones! It's been month or more... Don't believe the reviews for this app or the support message they send you they waste your time and then say they'll escalate it, because they don't have a clue how to fix it. They've outsourced the app development so how would they fix it themselves?
