The only thing this app does moderately well is compare prices, thats it. I tried to do an international shipping: gave an undisclosed error when submitting it. Tried to sell a computer motherboard: can't sell because was deemed "unshippable", but didn't really tell me why. Wanted to have them package stuff for me: apparently they don't serve my area but serve the city RIGHT NEXT TO ME. Tried to input an address manually: does not exist (even POS apple maps found it). Guys, you need to step it up.

They charged me triple the quote without consulting me. They also dismantled my packaging so they could divide the shipment in two doubling the 'fragile care' fee. They also listed the weight of the products to be double what it actually was.... What a scam!!!

Yes, I added 9 pages of addresses to ship and when I went to pay it wouldn't let me and told me they would contact me because they needed more information. Well, 24 hours later and no one has contacted me. If I want to call them I can schedule a call back 2 days from now. Thanks for nothing.

We can certainly appreciate your concern here. Looking at your account, you weren't charged for these labels. However, because you're using a debit card, these may appear as temporary holds on your account. They should be released shortly.
As well as scheduling a call with our support team, you can email us on help@shyp.com. We usual... App for dumbs where's UPS??? we're regional and flat rates? another useless app

Hi Jiashua, we're glad you love it. We think it's the future too! Can't use if don't live in specific city I had hoped for this app up until they notify you it's dependent on picking up the package and not an actual price estimator. So if you don't live in Chi, LA, SF, or NYC it's useless. Maybe add an option to drop it off somewhere? Waste of time

Love it! Half the reason I don't send returns is packing and taking it to the UPS store. Now I can just set up a pick up and give them the label and they do the rest!

Update: They are now spamming me, and the unsubscribe link is broken. I could not find a web interface, so count me in as one of the many people complaining about this unneeded app to "confirm" a shipment. After installing it, I found there was nothing to confirm.
I am on the receiving end of a package that was sent via Shyp. I do not want to have to download an app and sign-up for a service that is not available in my area just to track the status of my shipment. I emailed customer service and there is no alternative to just track a package.
Useless for the most part Thought I had to confirm a shipment, but was just info that a package was being sent, all this just to go through hoops to get a USPS tracking number that the shipper could of done instead of involving a 3rd party, it's not like this company is the shipper, they just fo the work, so not sure how a business would actually save money, The USPS, FedEx UPS, DHL etc all charge whatever it cost. But whatever, will be uninstalling now my package arrived. I mean 2 years in business and only 10 thousand downloads.
Got a text that someone is sending me a package using Shyp and I need to verify my address to receive it. To do that I had to create an account, give them my info, and download an app. After doing all that no option to confirm an address was available and the "incoming" tab was empty. So now I have an account that I can't seem to easily delete with a company that I can't use (outside of pickup cities) and an app that is useless. Why is there no web interface? Why can't the receiving party confirm the address without making a permanent account? Why can't the tracking be done through a tracking number like most shipping companies? Why does the app need my home address (Many times I get personal packages at my work address, so the need for my home address can't just be for tracking purposes)? Maybe the service is great for sending packages, but it is frustrating on the receiving end.
They lost a $350 shipment and never responded to my customer response inquiries.

Awesome! Today was my first Pick up in Brooklyn by Stephen. Best Customer Service experience ever! I highly recommend this App Service to anyone everywhere!
Pros: The pickup experience was nice–the driver arrived quickly and was quite friendly and helpful. The email notification I received when the packages shipped was a nice confirmation and included tracking information. Cons: The shipping choices are too coarse. I needed my package to arrive in five days and am very confident USPS could have made that happen cheaply. However, I could choose the cheap "2-10 day" option or pay a ton more for guaranteed shipping in four days. Perhaps having a "deliver by" option with any possible date would include all cheaper but fast-enough options? Also, I couldn't schedule two packages for the same pickup. Once I submitted the first request, it would not allow me to set up another pickup until the driver arrived. It would only show me the map showing the driver's location, even if I force quit the app and restarted. Next time I have a SINGLE package with either a delivery in the next three days or a delivery that doesn't have a deliver-by date, I will likely use Shyp again. But I regret using it this time.
Paid $42 total to ship 3 books in 2 shipments (plus $5 fee). I looked up shipping rates on USPS for media mail, and it would have been <$10 for the two shipments total. "Standard" is apparently priority mail. Very disappointed at the unexpected high cost, and I won't use it again.

Forces you to download/create account for info If someone sends you something with shyp you probably want to track it. Unfortunately that's about a 10 step process that requires you to download their app, sign up your phone number, Facebook, email, gmail, everything, and you don't even see an estimated arrival date. Will delete app once/if package arrives and unsubscribe from spam I'm already getting.
Anything to avoid waiting in line Easy, reliable, and works just as described. I didn't fully appreciate the burden of shipping (sourcing packaging, securely packing, getting to the post office, WAITING IN LINE & posting) until I was relieved of it. The small fee feels well worth the time saved & aggregation spared.
Love Shyp! I have been using Shyp most of the year and I love it. Super easy to set up a pick up for a shipment, both domestic and international. Have used perhaps 8-9 times. No issue and the longest I have had to wait for a pick up is 25 mins. Super convenient. App is stable and very simple to use.
How did I live without this? Where to begin? This is the best service in town. Fast, courteous service, flat rate pickups, and cheap shipping every time. We use Shyp for everything! Try it, you'll never look back.
