WOW! This is an essential app to ANY Gear VR user. Didn't discover this until recently, but damn I've been missing out. Gear VR is definitely superior to cardboard, but I'd always find the selection of cardboard apps to be better. The selection of public apps fixes this issue. I've even been able to play quake in VR!
Update 3-1-17: with the fix for Nougat users, this is once again a must-have app for the Gear VR. Old review follows: This app worked very well under Android 6, but using the beta of Android 7 it cannot find the device ID - and even when provided with the device ID on both of the web pages, the app cannot associate my device with the uploaded signature because the app itself cannot identify my device ID. If there was a way to manually enter device ID, or a fix for Nougat users, this would easily be a five star app. It's really an essential for any Gear VR user - as long as that user is using Android 6.
The bit that annoyed me (the app listing that kept reseting) is fixed, so I'm happy, and upping my rating to the full 5 stars. Try "DGVR" (Doom for GearVR), "Quake GVR", "Islands in the Sky", and "YouTube Cinema".
Worked when I first got it, but now it won't download anything from the app listing. It just says download starting and then nothing at all. Two stars cause it was good when it worked, but even after a full uninstall, reinstall, and re-download of osig file, it still is not doing anything at all.
The app crashes every single time I open an app page, making it impossible to update and install apps... Currently running on latest Android 7.0 for the AT&T GS7 edge.
App won't load unless you give permission to access your personal media files. I can see why some apps need you media such as media players. But not all apps need media files to work.
