A fun retro shooter. I had a lot of difficulties with navigating through areas and seeing things on the ground due to the graphics. I also experienced issues with guns not finishing reloading - I would have to switch to another gun then back again for it to work.

Having played the original PC game, this game is everything wrong with mobile crammed into an otherwise good game. The missions are broken up by adding a 'hub' and rather than picking up frequently dropped weapon parts giving you a constant supply of new weaponry to shoot aliens, weapon parts are few and far between and you have to pay in game currency to upgrade them. This of course is paired with a premium currency you can buy to skip that process! It ruins the pacing of an otherwise great game. You could play through the original campaign on PC in a short while. In this you're hamstrung by weapon upgrades requiring you sink more time into the game. Spend $5 and get it on PC. The game runs on practically anything and provides a much more cohesive experience.

Already reviewed the game once, but I thought I'd update things for the new version, as well as address a few issues I have found. I've found shotguns to be generally useless. They fire slowly, even when the guns they are based on (such as the Pancor Jackhammer) are supposed to be capable of automatic fire. Still, this is rather understandable, since shotguns are not really known for being fast-firing. The long reload time is also understandable because, you know, shotguns. The biggest issue is the hilariously unrealistic amount of spread. The aforementioned Jackhammer, if not in aiming mode, will spray its pellets in what looks to be about a 100-degree arc in front of the player character. I'm gonna be honest, the accuracy of shotguns could probably be doubled across the board without making them overpowered. As it is shotguns are rather mediocre in singleplayer, and only in aiming mode. In multiplayer, only the "rifle" type shotguns are really viable, again, only in aim mode. On an unrelated. Note, I'm not a fan of the new aiming logic. It has a habit of getting fixated on groups coming from one direction, and completely ignoring much closer enemies from other directions until they have already hit me. Both the new and old autoaim have their merits, but I prefer the old one. Finally, would you consider making the drop-rate for weapon and armor pieces scale up very slightly with our character level? That way it would be a little bit easier to get higher level items once we've gotten to level 60 or so. I know, I like to complain, but this game and series series are awesome, and I look forward to an (eventual) third numbered entry to the series.

Hi, thanks for such a detailed review! We're going to rework the multiplayer mode and weapon balance. For example, we're going to make shotgun damage more realistic. In this process, we'll need feedback from the players. Please contact us at support@sigma-team.net if you wish to contribute.
