Lifesum I love this app! The free app has so much choice, it linked up with s health (except for the daily steps). Notifies me to drink more regularly and is easy to input new data for foods that arent on the data base! Love the barcode scanner! I used to be a premium member last year and will be again this year. And with the subscription price sure its a bit high but it sure as hell makes me make sure i use it!!! 😂😂
Generally very good, poor search Overall, it's great. Pretty easy to use, and very functional. Two minor complaints: 1 the search algorithm is crazy. Most foods have been submitted several times, and what shows up when you search seems almost completely random. Barcodes are the way to go. 2 I wish you could enter number of servings when create a meal. It's easier to enter the whole recipe at once, but then you have to enter 0,5 servings when you log ypur portion later. I wish I could specify that the meal I created was x number of servings
Lacking obvious features All of these curated and unique recipes. No way to add the ingredients to a shopping list. Recommended recipes should be decided by meal time and should have an option to reject a recipe and have a new one suggested. Make it easier to cook from this app in general so that the suggestions plans aren't meaningless.
Great I switched from MyFitnessPal to Lifesum because it has a more user-friendly interface. The only issues I have are 1) there should be an option to measure water in liters instead of oz. and 2) some of the options shouldn't be premium. I shouldn't have to pay to see the amount of sugar in a product when it's on the label.
Too expensive This app is great and would easily get five stars from me, but you have to pay for far too many aspects of it such as recipes and different diet types. I understand they have to make money, but at least recipes should be free on a health app that flaunts them on almost every screen.
Needs improvement Great for tracking meals and water! Very good food catalog and ability to scan barcodes is a huge plus for making healthy decisions. However, I am an android user using my Samsung Gear S2 with S Health which needs drastic improvement. Gear S2 steps and phone steps add together instead of being able to choose one over the other causing incorrect calories burned to be recorded thus making me think I can eat more than what I truly can. Gear app is lacking and leaves much to be desired.
