Over the years, I've had 2 SimpliSafe systems, set up at 2 different homes, with 2 sets of hardware, and at least 2 phones. It has been a few years now, and I have never, ever experienced 2 months of trouble-free operation. There is always some type of issue. Random software issues with cameras, or a device has to be reset, reconnected, or replaced.

The app runs reliably as far as no crashes. That said, it is incredibly annoying to get motion alerts from the camera system but when you go to look, it just says waking camera even though it shows recording. Also, there needs to be a more advanced settings option. It feels like a dumbed down version. I got a decent starting Simplisafe system when we bought the house. I finished building it out with extra sensors and cameras. With the camera delays and limited recording, I wouldn't buy again.

We have used SimpliSafe for about 3 years and really love the ease of use of the system and the app. When we have company we can set up a code for them to use, and remove it once they leave. Simplisafe customer support and monitoring has been fantastic. The system is easy to set up, and customer service assistance was easy to reach and were so helpful. The app makes it easy to monitor the system from anywhere and to add new devices.
