Tell Me is a Text To Speech app which reads any text you type! it currently features:


* Volume, pitch and Speed Sliders

Permissions:
Storage and Photos/Media/Files Permission – Only used to see your saved Text To Speech files as well as play and delete them.

Other, Modify system settings Permission – Only ever used to set your selected Text To Speech file as a ringtone, notification or alarm sound.

I am so thankful for this app! I get sick a few times each year and almost always lose my voice. this tool is incredibly easy to use. for less common words I've found I may need to spell them phonetically to ensure they're pronounced the way I expect, but that is a rare occurrence. the ability to save phrases is a game changer!! I can't properly express just how useful and appreciated this app is. thank you developers for your dedicated work!

Great start, very promising, most powerful free app I've seen so far. Issues I've encountered: when pausing and restarting speech, the engine cycles back to the top of the document. And changing pitch or speed requires stopping and restarting from the top, rather than being a real-time functionality. Lastly the engine views the period in abbreviated titles (Mr., Ms.) as a full stop, leading to long pauses when reciting names. Would also love to see a rewind-10-seconds button.

I lost my voice 2 1/2 months ago during a bad sickness (still trying to figure out why it won't come back) and downloaded this app to help me communicate when my whispers just aren't good enough or can't be heard (like in noisy restaurants). This app has been a lifesaver and SO helpful. I've used it to help me order meals at restaurants, to communicate with staff at grocery stores, even to have conversations with my family. So glad I found this app to help me! Thank you!
