Absolutely amazing app! Very simple to figure out if you know DAW's. Synths are in depth, you can use your own samples for the drums. Decent song writing capabilities. Wish it had an arpeggiator, a dedicated sampler, and a sequencer more geared towards live arrangements on the fly. That's just my wish list. I use Caustic daily, blows me away how much it can do. By far the best DAW out there!
Excellent app. 10 stars. Think about like this: it's a workstation in mobile mode. You can also save your progress in Demo Mode unofficially. Meaning, when you create your patterns in the A1 bank, you leave it there. Then make a new one on A2, then A3 & so on. Very important to remember the machine used in each bank and I usually would screenshot and/or email my own e-mail address to retain the information just in the event that you reset your phone or something else happens. Pattern always saves. Loophole.
Could be GREAT live! Sounds GREAT and seems VERY powerful. 24 tracks instead of 14 would be great. This is the closest I've found to a workstation that could be used effectively for live performance. But switching songs is way too slow...it needs to be near instant. Hunting through load menus, dealing with, "are you sure?", "Save?" and other messages can really muck up a live workflow. Modern devices have more than enough RAM to load hundreds of Caustic 3 Songs. We have enough DAWs, make this a great workstation.
Very cool very curious to see its potential I never work with synths or have access to drum pads, so this is a great way to get more familiar with it if you already make music. Very portable, cheap, and it seems there are dozens of free presets to download specifically for this app. Smartest thing they could is allow free download of the app to test with. Makes it much easier to buy that key. Only drawback is using it on a tiny Samsung S7. This is probably far more phablet and tablet friendly solely due to the use of the app.
Incredible! This is a truly amazing app. After only an hour I paid for the full version, and have not regretted it. Caustic is easy, fast to use and great fun. If you are considering Caustic or FLStudio, do NOT waste any time on FLStudio. I bought the PC version before I owned a tablet, and it was the biggest waste of money. If you actually want to make music and get your creative ideas down quickly, go for Caustic.
Its good But its not great. The lfo range isnt great ie doest span across octaves enough ie sweeps too short. I will give 5 stars if you can improve lfo and add some sort of trance gate effect so i dont need to faff with automation, and a arp on the subsynth and be able to rename the tracks so it makes it easier to to mute solo when in mixer view and to arrange in arrangment and abit more range on effects just abit then i will be happy
