A thorough set of questions that accurately seives out your political position and educates you about it and on other political positions without being judgmental. However, I think the app developers should change how some of the political parties/factions are placed on the chart. For example, the Bernie wing of the Democratic party should be more left than it is placed now. Perhaps in the Democratic Socialism column where the Labour Party in the UK is. Also, the "mainstream" Democratic party should be placed squarely in Social Liberalism rather than on the fence between Social and Classical Liberalism. Hope the developers read this and make the necessary adjustments
I like the app itself, but I think some of the questions are misleading for people near the bottom right corner. Specifically questions concerning corporations. I'm assuming pro-corporation answers give you a right-wing score, but libertarians see corporations as an authoritarian intrusion on the market. For better accuracy, I think you should replace "corporation" with "business" or change how those questions affect our score accordingly.
Statements often have no good answer since how i would approach them makes the statement largely irrelevant. Corperations are goverments unto themselves after they reach a certain size and the influence they have should be kept within their specialization in providing for society as should the national and state governments.
Vote 1 not only tells you where you stand politically it also gives you wide variety of political books to read into. From The communist manifesto all the way to the leviathan. In conclusion Vote 1 is THE best on the playstore to both learn politics & learn where you are on the political spectrum.
Diverse selection of parties from a wide range of nations. Unbiased and interesting. Very accurate, I identify as a conservative or classical liberal, I get put in those two categories. Books are informative and the graph is simple, yet complete with helpful description set to educate on the ideals, examples and summaries of the many political leanings. I'm confused as to how the establishment democrats (Hillary Clinton half) is anything but leftist. I'd say firmly in Social Liberalism, if not Social Democracy. Bernie should be put in Democratic Socialism. I was surprised to find Front National and indeed Nationalism as centrist, as with En Marche.
I love this app a lot. It is very accurate, I use this app all the time. It's fun to play around with also just to see what you get. If you are actually serious on learning your ideology, then be serious. I am happy to say that I got National Socialist. Some questions are a bit loaded, like the ones about Labor Unions, but other than that I can tell you that I love it. Also, if you could, could you put the books into a right wing, left wing, authoritarian, libertarian kind of sorting?
Tweaks and fiddles to ideological descriptions.
