A simple intuitive guide that puts at your fingertips the sites and stories related to the Landing in Sicily in 1943, an operation called "Operation Husky", in the Syracuse area.
Thanks to this application it will be possible to view the traces of the Second World War that still remain as evidence, thus being able to tell what, sadly, our grandparents experienced.
With this app you will be able to go through war contexts, such as those experienced in the different phases of the Landing in Sicily in 1943 to stimulate and cultivate thoughts and actions of PEACE.
It is a free app, which can also be used offline, with georeferenced points, photos and videos.
Culture starts from awareness and study, this application offers a strong starting point for the discovery of what the Syracuse territory hides and which is linked to the period of the Second World War, with particular attention to the Armistice of Cassibile which has all repercussions on present geopolitics today.
Furthermore, we want to promote a new tourist/cultural sector of which our territory should be the leader given the enormous presence of physical, oral and historical testimonies.
