Been using it all season and thought it was somewhat factual. Northern NH and Maine just got absolutely pounded with double digit+ accumulations. No sign of it anywhere on this app. I have 10- 15 northeast resorts on my list and none of them are showing the awesome snow results from this past Sunday /Monday storm. ???
App won't find resorts outside of France. My friends phone (exactly the same as mine) is working fine with the app. We have no idea why mine won't work. And without being able to find my resort this app is useless. One star.
Overall it provides the information I am looking for( base depth, recent snow, runs and lifts open), for several mountain at that. But I have to say the only recent flaw: The intro, every time you load the app is a bit uncalled for. I don't want or need to have a fancy load to say this is brought to you by Verizon. If needed put the add somewhere else.
Best snow focused app I've found. Would be nice if "favourite" resorts were linked between devices. Also doesn't seem to be able to show the "snow forecast" graph in the app like on the web. Just the numbers. But very good and so far very accurate which is the most important.
Good app for what it does... I have found some problems with their map not showing where ski resorts are (Willamette pass, oregon) and the snow cams are usually not as up to date as I would like...
Its a great app for snow bums... I love it! One small drawback is there's no info on the smaller northern hills like Powder king, Shames, and Hudson Bay Mountain.
OnTheSnow kicks off the 2016/2017 ski season with a fresh design and a lot of under-the-hood maintenance work to deliver your trusted and timely snow reports and powder alerts. Look for the same great functionality, including a quick comparison of your favorite ski resorts and the ability to view and upload photos and firsthand reports straight from the slopes, along with a cleaner interface. Never miss a powder day again!
