About this app

MPDMan is a full featured, no-compromise Android client for MPD.

If you do not have MPD installed or do not have network access to an MPD server, then you should not download or install this application.

MPDMan allows full control of all your MPD servers from your mobile phone or tablet. MPDMan acts as a remote control for MPD.

Efficient creation of playlists with flexible navigation of the server music database.
Automatic download of cover art.
Automatic download of song lyrics.
Automatic scrobbling to your Last.fm profile (optional, requires Last.fm account and login at startup).
Designed to minimize network traffic and battery consumption.

Supports all Android devices running 2.3 or later.
Requires a device with a touchscreen with 480 or larger screen width.

MPDMan requires the following permissions:
INTERNET: Allows connection to MPD server(s) and ad support.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Allows the application to detect when the connection has been lost.
WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Required to save retrieved cover art and lyrics to minimize the network traffic.

As a Linux user I love the UI. But it doesn't work. Hangs when I try to add mpd server.

Worst UI I have ever seen. Looks as if running a running Linux in an emulator.

This won't work on a nexus 7 2012 so don't bother.

We actually use a Nexus 7 as one of our reference test devices so it should work fine. If you are interested in trying the app please contact our support email with more info.
