KUNC Public Radio App:

The KUNC Public Radio App allows you to listen to KUNC live, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for the KUNC streams all at once! You can explore On Demand content, search for stories, bookmark a story for later, and wake up to KUNC with the alarm clock!

Live Streaming
• DVR-like controls (pause, rewind, and fast forward). You can pause the live stream to have a conversation and pick up right where you left off! Or rewind to catch a comment you just missed!
• Listen to live streams from KUNC even while traveling! Start the app and your favorite station starts playing – no clicks to start listening.
• Integrated program schedules for every station. You can display up to three of your favorites at a time or flick once to see the schedules for all of your favorite stations.
• One click stream switching – flip over to the program you noticed on another stream with a single click.
• Listen to KUNC in the background while browsing the web or catching up on your emails!

On Demand
• Access public radio programs from multiple content providers (NPR, PRI, APM and KUNC) easily and quickly.

Ratings and reviews

The app allows skipping back and forth in the stream, and I love KUNC! But when I switch between wifi and cellular connectivity it always skips forward to the live feed, thus losing buffered audio. That also happens every time I click on one of the podcasts that has an audio icon. So there's no way to view the text of those stories without interrupting what I'm listening to. The app is unreliable in other ways also.

I realize that all broadcasting stations are required to identify themselves at regular intervals. What I don't understand is why, when listening through the app, you break in more often usually interrupting a story and then don't let us hear the party your interruption made us miss. It's extremely frustrating.

The stream skips extremely frequently, sometimes forward and sometimes back. It also interrupts the content at the most inappropriate times, sometimes every 30 seconds, with commercials. And yes, though you may call them sponsor spots, they ARE nothing more than commercials. Worst.app.ever.
