The KUOW App: 
The KUOW App allows you to listen to KUOW, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for KUOW FM. You can listen to KUOW and NPR Podcasts whenever you want, and send messages to the station.

"Cuts out frequently. It is very annoying. There have been times when it is so frustrating I switch to OPB, which is extremely reliable." I wrote the review above in 2016 and since then, there have been significant improvements. It does not cut out during live streams but still does so during podcasts, typically 2-3 times an hour.

The app shuts down randomly in the middle of programs for no apparent reason. KUOW provides excellent fact-based news and programs that I wish I could completely listen to. Unfortunately, the app shuts down randomly during KUOW's high-quality, engaging and informative content. The app constantly loses connection. Restarting the app sometimes helps, but other times, after a couple of minutes, it quickly shuts down again.

I like the in-app links to news programs from npr, pri, etc. This allows you to replay some programs if you missed the start or were I terrified during normal radio station broadcast. However, I HATE the way the app buffers audio streams, but then randomly dumps the buffered stream and jumps to a different data source WITHOUT MATCHING the location in the playback stream. I know.. . 1st world problems. . . But what an annoying trait! Is there a setting that allows for longer buffer times?
