Skype was a simple messaging system that could be used both for personal calls or business calls. This new version is awful. It leaves unsolicited voice messages, which will be odd when using it on an unanswered business call. I used to have more than 1 number linked to a person, that has now disappeared. Please bring back Classic Skype. I know you are trying to compete with other apps but I believe you will lose more customers than you are able to get back.
The new style is rubbish and clunky to use. I certainly hope the desktop version doesn't change. I'll be finding and installing an older .apk and then blocking any updates. I mean, why is there even a built in web search? When would that ever be needed apart for collecting more telemetry??? Useless bloatware.

I can't delete chats. There are chats shown that I never seen before regarding this account. There are also chats from other Skype accounts that have been logged in in past. I don't know why!! And BTW: where is the Skype icon on top? I'm missing it.

The new look sucks and doesn't make a lick of sense. EDIT: I understand you'd like to fit into all the new cool kid media, however pushing a change on your user base is not very great. There was no warning of this kind of change from what I have seen. Also you could have put an option to opt out and continue using your program as it was or a simple "click here to revert to the previous setup." This set up from what I can tell just is not simple or easier to use, in fact it is far more difficult and why add a bunch of tabs and whatnot that no one is most likely going to use. This is most likely going to cause me to switch what type of application I use on my mobile device. You could have done better with this update.

They've ruined the look AND the usability of the app by adding massive amounts of whitespace. Congratulations, I'd rather use the original app from years ago than this vile redesign you've pushed on us.

Worst update ever, it looks absolutely hideous, doesn't appear to have any way to delete conversations....own colour scheme has little to no effect what-so-ever on chat. Took me 5 minutes just to figure out how to send a file/image that wasn't taken by my camera....over all I'd much rather go back to the really old MSN before Skype took it over.

Thanks for trying to new version, and thanks for your feedback.
We do realize that the change is quite dramatic and can take some time to get used to. We do ask you to give it a bit of time, as we invested a lot in making common operations (like access to camera and content) fast and easy. We also have many new features.

TRASH NEW UPDATE PUTS CALL ON HOLD NON STOP WHEN I PLAY A VIDEO...CANT DO BOTH NOW. PLEASE FIX AND REVERT TO OLD SKYPE. YOU PRE INSTALLED IT ON MY S6 SO I CANT DO ANYTHING FIZ THIS ASAP....
I used to like skype before this new update. Now it's gone downhill. It's ruined.

The Skype Team Lately I was unable to log into my account. I put the right password and the username, but when I tried to log in, it said "Could not log in". Is it because of the internet connection, the phone or the app itself? I'll wait for a response. Edit: I just re-installed it, and it works like a charm. Sorry for the inconvenience.
What the hell is going on with this app???..keeps crashing and putting me insible and calls drop, or cant hear the person speak and vice versa or can't answer the calls....wish you put the Skype icon back in the notification bar like before... Pls fix this app...it used to be soo good!
It was good but lately with Skype installed my phone loses 3-5% battery an hour when asleep. So now I wake up to half my battery gone!! I'm on a mate 8 with Skype disabled in the back ground yet even then it persists on doing something in the background. Uninstalling...
Where is the help button on the stupid app!! The app keep logging me out and then I can't log in again keeping in mind that this happens when I didn't change the password or did anything at all. The password works just fine with Skype Web and Skype windows
I find Skype less reliable than 15 years ago. The strange thing is that connections Skype to Skype were almost instant are now delayed or do not connect. Dropped calls are more frequent now. My broadband connection is 20x to 100x faster yet connections are worse now that Microsoft owns Skype. Too bad. I can't get Skype to launch on my phone running Android 6. It seems Microsoft is not very serious about fixing bugs.! Before you commit to Skype, check other apps. Skype is not as good as it once was. I am Premium client paying for a phone number as well as Skype Pro. Too bad the service now sucks
I am kinda disappointed in you the people that made Skype. You know why you allowed a female to come on to your app and try to get me to look at her Web cam show. Her name was Carrie Mcelroy. You shouldn't allow that on your app. You should do something about it. Kids use this app.
I wanted to use my email to signin and it sent me a code to verify its me. I put in the code and afterwards the loadingthing just went around in circles and did nothing. And I even had them send me another and I put it in and the same thing happened. Not very convenient.
Hello! I'm a Lenovo S660 user and I've created an account using my mobile number. Unfortunately, I cant sign in on my phone, but skype on my laptop is working perfectly fine (changed passwords 3x, still nothing). Dialog box "Unable to sign in" always appears. Hoping you can fix it! I badly need it for work right now
I get over 20 notifications a day saying "Skype needs your attention". I click on the notification and it brings me to a page to sign into my account in a browser. I do that and there is no action to take. Then I get more of the same deluge of notifications every day.
After following incorrect instructions to link my Skype and Microsoft accounts in order to use the app (sign out of everything everywhere first), get to the point of signing in on the app, then confirming sign in request and just get the "unable to log in" message. Cleared data, reinstalled, checked Skype "hearbeat", etc etc etc. Just awful experience, can't wait for Skype to stop being used.
Automatically logged me out. "Unable to login" error then blank screen. Reset password to no avail, still same error. Resolved itself later in the day. Missed calling my mum. Not happy
Windows software is very good without any doubt but app has flow. Skype connectivity to internet is slower. Other app connects and can get the call while phone is even locked but not in skype. We do not have an offline feature in app but available in Windows.
I have never had a problem with Skype. Until someone decided that I need a Microsoft account in order for me to sign into my Skype account in this device. If this is a bug please fix it. If it's not please Skype explain to me why you're forcing me to create a Microsoft account?
I have been using th I don't app for 3 months now. As it was an amazing app, now it seems to not be. I get notifications that skype needs my attention, when I try to log on my phone or tablet it proceeds to say unable to log in. This is my way of seeing my parents. I'm heart broken that something so awesome has failed.
Why doesn't the screen proximity sensor work when on a normal Skype call?? The screen is ALWAYS ON ending up pressing random buttons.. even if i turn it off manually, Skype forces the screen to wake up each time in a few seconds... WHY WHY WHY....???? This is a basic feature now with all apps that support calls... Why is Skype going back in time and being progressive like the competition...???
The Skype I knew b4 is very reliable but now am not sure bcos anytime I called with it using my infinix hot4 it keeps dropping and when it finally connect voice keeps breaking and not a clear sound. Also the video keeps freezing, moreover y is orange color not turning to greenish when my friends are online,?despite the fact they r online still keeps showing orange on their name instead of green..... Pls work on it for me to give 5stars.. Thanks
Love it, my fiance is able to talk to our 4mo. Old BabyGirl everyday at work, and see her beautiful growing face.. my father in law who lives far away doesn't have to miss a thing!!! It's great works perfect.. always! 📲💻💖👶👨👩👧👧
It seems like the longer I use Skype, the more features I lose. I am beginning to not be notified at all for messages and the status bar notification has been entirely removed. Things that I enjoy about Skype are starting to completely disappear and it's very upsetting.
Updated 2 days ago...now calls won't connect. Never had problems verifying my account, now it doesn't recognize my phone number or email.....really???? Been having Skype over 1year with no problems until the newest update. Highly disappointed!!!
Keep dropping calls and logs me out ,it won't let you log in straight after and even if you are using tge samr password it will tell you are not able to log in! Forcing me to create a microsoft account in order to log in! Been using Skype for 8 years and this is the Worse Quality of Service ever!
After so many years this app still has problems.. i still face the problem that the incoming call is not shown on all devices reliably... Voice quality still sucks even on high speed connections... Video quality is good though
Its realy time wast talking in this can't hear voice clear.. very sad... im fed up with this since a month.
Does not work anymore on my Android Sg4. Can log in on my desktop ok but Android app keeps on asking for a password. Tried reloading app and clearing caches but problem remains. I have office 365 subscription but can't use my paid minutes. EDIT-Now OK. New version which ends .596 works .
This is a horrible app. It logs you out constantly and won't let you log back in. It doesn't work either. It freezes through the whole entire call and you can't hear the other person at all.😬😬😬😬👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎I don't think anyone should get this HORRIBLE app
This app is awesome. Mostly for when I want to get in contact with my friends, but my voice is natruely loud.. and they can't turn down the volume for my voice on Skype. Soooooo, they 'ask' me to be quiet, meaning whisper, which messes up my voice.. 😞😞😞
I can not choose emotions. When i click on emotion icon, it appears the keyboard instead of emotion list
About every 10-20 min the Camera would go complete black for my Camera and it won't stop doing this and I'll have to turn off my camera and turn it back on until it happens again
