sucks big time. spying damn idiots. gives you no way to turn off others seeing when your active or not, when you're off or not. especially if one of your contacts has their business skype you have no way of preventing them of knowing when you're idle or not when your phone is active or not. you have no control at all of your skype on your phone. you cannot even turn sound off for notifications. if you want to have only vibrations and no sound as notification microsoft thinks that you shall not be allowed to have your choice. idiots and they still wander why everybody hates them
Seems like every new update just keeps making the app worse. Now I get no chat notifications whatsoever, even though all my notifications are turned on in the app and on my phone settings. Thank you Skype, for not taking any criticism from these reviews and just making even worse and useless updates.
With a paid Skype telephone number (number chosen myself), and since that enables calls to and from mobile and fixed numbers; this app has become my primary mode of communication. I've not had any significant or persistent issue affect my calls... I do hope that it becomes accessible offline...
Edit: Works well and voice clarity has improved. Should have a pact with Oman to enable Skype on at least WiFi. After some time of inactivity, the app silently exits with the logout sound. It is so annoying to find myself logged out. Later, when I start the app, it asks for password again. Very irritating. Please fix this bug.
Well seeing as nothing has changed since you made all these unnecessary changes to your app, I will tell you what everyone else is saying about your app. It sucks. My phone doesn't always notifies me if I have a new message on Skype and based on the reviews that I have read (something you guys should consider) its clear that I'm not the only one having this issue. Bring back Skype the way it was before all avid Skype users who have used this app for years will ask for nothing less.
Absolutely horrible. Seriously can't have a customer service line when your app locks out your users? Reset the password, submitted forms, and spent hours trying to get the app to work. Waste of time. Tried again months later still locked out of account. Customer service chat just told me to continue filling out forms that I've submitted a ton of times already. They said they locked the account but did nothing to fix the problem.
