Review from A Google User
GS3 feedback The update fixed a lot of problems THANKS for fixing them. especially when you login your status appears as the last log status.also logging in is much faster. The UI is much better...loving it...
Auto rotate? Either remove this immediately or give the option to turn it off. If I wanted auto rotate to be on I'd enable it in the Android System Settings.
Every time there is an update Skype stops works entirely for me. I have to completely uninstall and then reinstall again. The notifications don't always work, either.
UPDATE : May 17 update has introduced a bug which greatly dims my picture randomly on my Galaxy S5 with Marshmallow (unresolved by May 25 update). Can fix by turning off camera and turning back on, but this is highly annoying. Was a great app until this, now Facebook Messenger is rapidly catching up ----- I am in a long-distance relationship so I have tried every video chat option. Not perfect but with the vagaries of Internet connectivity speeds it is hard to know how much of call quality issues Skype can control. The unlimited voice dialing plan to USA is also super convenient when traveling/living abroad.
Unable to sign in This is a problem that has occurred to several Android mobile users as I have found online. This issue occurs about every month for me, and the only common solution is to re-download the app or clear the app's data. No matter which of the two methods are used, though, it will still take about six to eight hours before the app is functional for messaging, for me at the very least. It also seems that this error usually arises after Skype updates. Please, this is a major issue that should be solved soon!
Never works right Messages never sync correctly, constantly pops notifications without dismissing them even if you view them on desktop or other devices. Change logs are never posted when updates are released.
Skypes quality is very poor. Skype randomly crashes. The notification system seems non-existent. The constant updating seems to only make my phone slower. And instead of adding things like emojis you could be upgrading the current software.
Thanks for using Skype!
We're always working on making Skype better and we release new features and improvements frequently.
