It worked great up until a few weeks ago. How I keep getting a connection error. Your tv does not support this program's content protection. Replacing the tv's HD I cable with component cables will allow you to view the program... I've tried everything to get my device to work again and the only this that seems to work is to manually leave the tv turned on... this is not an option when I am not at home. I have the M1 sling box.. please help your support channels doesn't appear to be working.. up until a few weeks ago I would have rated this device a 5+++
Always problems I have 3. One always says needs reconfigured. One always going offline and I'm half way across country and depend on these working. So one of three works correctly. Each update has screwed up something. Or it's the firmware. They add guides and nothing on how to use them. This should all be touch friendly. Wish voodoo still made a box.
have to reinstall just to load! this is getting ridiculous. this app USED TO work but now if you want to watch something you have to uninstall then reinstall just to connect! the crazy thing is my regular version for my phone works so i have to forgo watching on my big tablet screen and watch on my freakin phone!!!! this is bull****
Chromecast problems still not addressed! 1/1/2017 - Save your money. Forget anything Sling. No timely updates. Get Directv now. 11/13/2016 - 6 months still no updates. 10/12/2016 - 5 months and still no updates to fix Chromecast problems. 9/22/2016 - Another month has gone by and silence on any help with an updated app. 8/23/16 - Chromecast icon no longer appears at all since latest Android update. Casting not possible from Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 running Android 6.0.1. 7/3/16 - Does not recognize Chromecast
I like it when it works Starts up okay, but keeps losing sync. Freezes frame, endless circle. I have to disconnect and reconnect to make it work. isn't staying running more than 3 minutes tonight. Was working better earlier. I am the only person on the FIOS at both ends, so it shouldn't be a bandwidth problem. Frustrating!
Major Casting FAILURE!!!!! You would think a company like this would fix these simple problems! Casting icon only shows up after clearing the sling app cache multiple times. When it does show up, it doesn't find all my Chromecast devices. THEN, it takes multiple tries to connect!! WOW, WHAT A COMPLETE FAILURE! After all the money I've spent on slingboxes, two different versions of the PAID app, and a few years later, STILL nothing works right! And slingmedia won't talk to you unless you pay MORE! LOUSY, LOUSY, LOUSY!!!
