Very satisfied I found the app slightly counterintuitive, but once I figured out the mapping process it worked fine and generated a heat map with no problem. I was able to heatmap my old AP and compare its coverage to the new AP I just installed, and visualize the increased coverage range easily. I also found a few dead spots in the coverage that I need to address as well.
Excellent This app did exactly what I wanted it to do. Would be nice to be able to hit a button and have it collect a bunch or samples over a small specified time interval and then average the results rather than just collecting one sample for a given position. I think this would average out some of the error to obtain more accurate results.
I like it. This is a great little app towards finding the strong and weak areas of your home network. I'm sure there could be many ideas towards improvements and wish lists. Two that come to mind for me is being able to wipe out all points if you choose to, and the other would be for the tablet to automatically scan in the points as you walk around. This might be done by a combination of reading the gps points and marking the points at certain intervals along the way.
Forces google earth maps It would be nice to not gave to be forced to include google earth imagery onto my floor plan. My location does not have high resolution Google earth imagery so it just makes a mess out of the map. Uninstalled.
I can't create heat map from two my dual band (2.4 & 5Ghz) routers, because this app can't merge same access point names. I can see the access points one by one. In other hand the coloring is not accurate, the whole home is green on the heat map, however the signal strength is not max everywhere... The map zooming and blueprint fitting is too rough.
Good. I use this for mapping out WiFi in retail stores. It has really helped to identify dead zones and overlap. Only problem so far is it crashes when trying to import a floorplan. I have to use Satellite images which can be difficult to map accurately.
* Fixed a crash on startup on some devices.
