The process of transferring data through the Smart Switch application will be explained in a short instruction:

Place the first (sender device) and new (receiver device - recipient) close to each other.
Turn on WIFI on both devices.
Devices must be connected to the same WIFI or one device must share the internet with another. (With a direct transfer, this is not even necessary!)
Using the application, you pair two devices with each other
The sender sees the recipient in the list of found devices and asks for permission to pair.
The recipient confirms the pairing of devices.
You choose the data you want to transfer.
Send data from device to device!

The time to transfer information depends on the device, the transfer mode and the amount of data. Transferring light and small files will take you a few seconds. When a large amount of information is transferred, more time will be required.

Do not download. This app is designed to look like (and has the same name) as Samsungs smart switch app that allows you to copy everything from installed apps to contacts to your new phone. But THIS app is NOT that, it just allows for the wireless transfer of regular files,(like pics) ONE AT A TIME. And it's completely useless for switching to a new phone. Furthermore, it says there's a "3 day free trial" which I signed up for? And was CHARGED $30 FOR THE APP ANYWAY. (Did get a refund though)

I didn't end up using this app - it was the wrong Smart switch! Hours later - after downloading app, I wanted to discontinue. However, they've billed me - even though it clearly indicated I had a free 3-day trial! I have no idea how to get my $ refunded! If someone from this company can get me my $ back, I'll give this a 5-star rating for good customer service. Otherwise, 1 star!

Spent an hour trying to transfer data only to the see a tiny footnote saying that phones on android system of 4.3 or higher won't transfer. Now I've got to find a way of canceling the subscription and another way to move the data over.
