About this app

SugarCoded. Learn the basic concepts of Computer Science with drag and drop programming. SugarCoded TM is a game-like, self-directed tutorial starring SmartGurlz characters: Jen and Maria who encourage you to beat missions, win points and share your results.

The best part about SugarCoded is that you can code your Siggy to drive/dance on the floor, save your moves or even play game like missions.

Learn repeat-loops, conditionals, and basic algorithms.

It is a nice and fun app. As someone who works in coding I can say that it shouldn't involve guessing, but when I had to "pick up tools" I had to do a lot of guessing as the map has a lot missing, like all the zebra crossings and all the 5 cm lengths. Also, in the "find bird specimens" my daughter and I got them all but didn't get the app's success confirmation. Until I made her go only forwards. It does not say backwards is not allowed.
