App seems to get worse with every update.. Cant connect to samsung smart tv anymore... smartapps dont always work like they used too..particulary buggy with smartthings own products such as plugs and contact sensors
Last update 2/1/18 appears to have fixed the problem of device status not always being updated in a timely matter when viewing them in the app. I also have not noticed a decrease in app load time.
I have to change my default browser just to sign into the app!? That is no doubt one of the dumbest things I've ever seen in any app. I can't believe a tech giant would have something so poorly designed. And this is just signing in. Can't wait to see the rest.
If I could give it no stars I would. Wasted money on a hub that I can't access via the app. Same issues as other, telling me to install Samsung web browser (which I did... didn't work). This is supposed to be 'smart', right? Can't even create an account. Samsung is awful. Should have learned my lesson by now.
Android Wear support would take SmartThings over the top for me. I would love to be able to unlock my door with my watch. Using the location technique is unstable. I watched my door unlock on its own with the rules I set up and can't trust that.
Edit: 2-8-18 Service down AGAIN. Screw it, I'm buying an aotec z-stick and setting up a local hosted service. Unreliable service. This is completely dependent upon internet connection and cloud service that is regularly down when I need it. I am beyond tired of not being able to turn off my bedroom lights. Matthew, you've had ~bi-weekly service outages, which is ridiculous. My local ISP has been having unrelated and non overlapping problems as well, but I'm a sysadmin, so it's easy for me to tell which is which. You should not be requiring an internet connection in north america for something as simple as an if/then loop to turn off a light when a switch is flipped.
