To many problems *edit * after update, chromecast doesn't seem to work at all. ................. Content is good, but the app is horrible. Chromecast only works sometime. And it doesn't resume where you left off from a program, so if you have to stop a program, chances are it won't hook back up to chromcast and you have to slide the little bar back and forth to find where you left off, all while waiting for it to buffer each time.
Good content, bad app I really enjoy the shows offered and wish there were more full episodes or a way to unlock content with cable provider sign in like other apps. My big issue is that this app causes my Samsung phone and tablet to restart randomly. This has happened for the last year on multiple devices and is very irritating and forced me to completely uninstall the Smithsonian app from my phone.
TV Shorts on the Go I'm hooked on Smithsonian content and it's great to have their shorts while I'm out and about. Unfortunately I don't have that channel in my xfinity lineup so I can't get the movies. But the short bits are a nice alternative to playing an obsessive game of solitaire when I have a few minutes.
Many ways wonderful, content fabulous. Im puzzled why they claim chromecast support. My 3 devices show no signs of it, nor any of my friends. Lesser sites have figured it out
Chromecast support has apparently been removed This was a very useful app for viewing full episodes until Chromecast support disappeared. No acknowledgment from Smithsonian of this issue has been forthcoming despite this being the case for several months now. SMH. Disappointed.
Deleting App in Protest I resent the Smithsonian's biased omission of Supreme Court Justice Clarance Thomas's lifelong leadership and devotion to his country in the new Black History Museum in DC. I won't need your app any more.
