Not so good app as it used to keep hanging many times & did not recover from that & also could not close the app. Only solution I knew was restarting the mobile. Even on 64GB internal memory & 4GB RAM mobile with latest app installed, it didn't work properly. Later I tried clearing all the app data, from then onwards, experience has been much better. Developers/testers/customer support never gave this idea 😢. One feature that is needed at times but missing in this app is ability to schedule the fund transfer for a future date. SBI Bank online banking has this feature.
Reducing the rating from 5 to 4 for these two reasons. 1. The new update is no doubt really good, but while entering quick access pin, when I enter any digit, it first shows the digits and there is a lag before they are converted into dots. Once I enter the numbers, they are completely visible for around half a second before they are converted into dot. 2. M-passbook has a pattern lock. I am fine with visible pattern lock, however, it will be better if pattern lock supports invisible pattern too. Please correct first one on priority and I will rate it again 5.
There literally is lots of places this application can improve. From performance related such as loading times to enhancements on cyber security, such as mobile otp generation. HDFC used to be a leader in innovating services, right now it's just following suit. Edit: Still no update on these services. I strongly recommend you check out other International Banks. Their OTP and push notifications are well planned. Digital CC support , and a whole lot more.
Finally suggestions were considered & changes were made to the display. So much nicer. It's one of the best mobile banking apps around. A lot of features from netbanking are available on this except adding beneficiaries which IMO is safer left to netbanking. Great job! Now only just improve the design on your super premium credit cards & sorted! Edit: Please add Fingerprint authentication!
The new update is the real turn away. The app shuts down if you try moving away from it even for a shortest duration to check upon something be that for alert sms sent by the bank for the transaction done. And obviously have to wait for long to re-logging into it again. I wonder because of this app, whether we are living in a smartphone age where multi tasking has become a norm.
Not much facility to update details. I have problem with updating email address for credit card. While Saving account email updation is allowed, for credit card email updation not allowed online. Lot of paper work. There is no consistency. Above all request is rejected in the name of signature mismatch. How can customer have exactly same signature after 10 years. While security can be ensured online as well. Just hate have using HDFC Bank card.
