Play/Pause Intents? The doggcatcher web site is down and I can't see if Doggcatcher has implemented Intents yet for controlling the app through Tasker. Has this feature been implemented yet? I see other podcast apps now have this. Might be time to switch?
Not liking the pie-chart progress bars. Nope. Should make these new "features" optional with a setting to revert back if people don't like them. Also seems to lose Bluetooth controls when in the background in Android 5 and 6 I wish DoggCatcher would get five stars with me but it can only manage four stars because of a long history of jarring UI changes that aren't always for the better (let users choose how the UI works and looks, or else implement skins/chrome and let the users supply the look). Getting really tired of the less and less intuitive UI, lately. Lastly, a feature request: per-feed option whether to download via Wi-Fi only.
Dev: Still not right. Menu button menu popup has no dark grey background. Text as bad as it was on the top area. Please put the cosmetic stuff back the way it was. "If it ain't broke don't fix it".
Tried a few podcatchers but always came back to doggcatcher. Easy to use, does all I want, i.e auto play when headphones connect and it looks good.
Not happy at all. Episodes missing from feeds. For example, MSNBC Rachel Maddow Show says only one episode available, but Stitcher has dozens. This happens on others too, but if you can tell me why Rachel Maddow only has one, maybe it's the same issue. Really disappointed as just realized even the auto download doesn't work for this feed. I know this is the case because it's on TV and stitcher has it right, but wonder how many others are screwed up, doesn't provide episodes and the ones it does provide are old and not obeying the feed options specified.
Great podcast player Very versatile
Android Auto - support playing audio by voice based on podcast or episode title when DoggCatcher is active
Fix: some feeds that use https fail with an ssl handshake exception (Round 2)
