I have used DoggCatcher for over a decade. It has served me well through several Android versions. It has its quirks, but nothing you can't work around. Admittedly, it hasn't been updated in a while, but it is still chugging along - keeping up with and playing all of my favorite podcasts. Whenever I have had actual problems with the app, the developer was quick to respond.

Really would love an update for this... This has been my preferred podcasting app for almost a decade, but now it's constantly crashing on me to the point that it's almost unusable. Sometimes it's random, but it's typically when another app takes the audio focus (when I get a text or message, any kind of notification). It's incredibly frustrating and I'd love it if this was fixed in some kind of update.

I tried reinstalling and basic other things. I've been using it since 2014 at least. And I've enjoyed it. Until the last few months it has gotten completely useless. It's just really buggy and unsupported. It crashed 17 times during one episode of hidden brain today. 17 times, I counted. It's crashing a ton, tells me my playlist is empty when it's not, tells me there's no downloaded episodes when there are. It's just the point where it's no longer useful at all. Back to the drawing board.
