About this app

The Social Weather Project is a citizen-science app that turns everyday social data into a living map of the world.

Contribute a short, anonymous survey about education, background and earnings, and watch your data appear as a 3D marker on an interactive globe — alongside anonymised contributions from people across the planet. Explore the patterns that emerge and see how communities compare.

HOW IT WORKS
- Answer a quick survey (parents' education, your education, earnings bracket).
- Your responses are instantly anonymised — they can never be traced back to you.
- See your own data as a personal marker on the map, and explore the wider anonymised picture.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
The moment your data reaches our servers it is stripped of your identity. Not even our administrators can link a point on the map back to you. Only anonymous research data is ever shown.

FEATURES
- Interactive 3D globe powered by Mapbox.
- Your own contribution shown as a personal marker.
- Anonymous, aggregated view of global social trends.
- Free to use, with an optional ad-free premium membership.

The Social Weather Project is built for curiosity and open research. Your contribution helps build an open, anonymised picture of social patterns for public and academic study.
