Glad to see that android users are included in upgrade with fingerprint recognition. It was pretty intuitive to enroll and setup as well. The fact that I have to scroll to enter/see both my username & password is not helpful at best. The look of app is nice, happy to see that I can edit bill pay and that most account info can be seen without scrolling.
The new version of the NWFCU application and website are a poor experience everywhere. The UI in the application uses too much screen space on extraneous elements best suited to desktops and the desktop version doesn't scare to take advantage of the extra space. While it does work, the old version was much better.
I installed the latest v188.8.131.52 of the app on my new LG G6 Android v7.0 smartphone. I tried to perform "Deposit a Check" with it and it didn't work well at all. First, it didn't present all the accounts I could deposit to. Second, when I completed the deposit procedure including both pictures, I pressed the "Make Deposit" button, it turned green, but didn't do anything more; it never completed, never showed me a status, nothing, just stayed there. This is inexcusable for a v4 app.
UI slightly better on here than main website, and thats not saying much. Who uses a phone ui for desktop users?
Finally has fingerprint authentication working for Android, so no longer have to scroll to put in my username and password.
New version still won't support fingerprint login from my Nexus 6P. What fingerprint API are they using? I enabled Fast balances feature which is suppose to allow you see your balance quickly without logging in but it isn't working. Combined with the lack of fingerprint support and no longer remembering username the app is more inconvenient than the one it replaced.
