It is the first Venous Thromboembolic Disease (VTE) Registry in Uruguay.
Developed by ICHT-Uruguay (Research and Science in Hemostasis and Thrombosis) and SUFyL (Uruguayan Society of Phlebology and Lymphology), non-profit scientific societies dedicated to the study, dissemination, and education on thrombosis and hemostasis.

• Respects the patient's ethical framework through the signing of informed consent
• Transparent: registered with the National Library, MSP, and approved by the ethics committees of the institutions involved
• Collects epidemiological, etiological, treatment, outcome, and complication data that will allow for the development of future health policies
VTE is a preventable disease, and its prevention is a criterion of patient safety and quality of care for the institution.
