Good idea, poor quality content. Everything about the design of this app is a great idea. You can choose the instrument you want to play and get its score while everything else plays on the background: this makes it a nice tool for linking it up to amp or headphones. The breadth of content is reasonable but falls way short of Guitar Tab Universe. Having just one version of each song appealed to me, rather than having to trawl through 10, but much of the transposition is just wrong unfortunately.
Great for cover bands and on the spot learning Great if you play cover or teach!! I can grab all the lyrics and chords for songs we want to try out in our group or with students and i just stick my phone in a mic clip and play along to the chord charts. I can pull the layers of guitar parts in songs and even find the vocal melody to play so I can sing to it. It only gets a 4 because sometimes the offline database can be iffy and some chord charts are incorrect (however its user written so that is not major for me!)
Better than guitartab pro It may not have as large of a selection, but it's infinitely better for helping you learn the song, rather than just providing you with the music. A sweeping bar goes across the tabs and shows you when to play which notes, with proper rhythm and everything. No more guess work. Also you can set it to as slow as 15% speed, so you can start by learning slowly and gradually getting closer to the proper tempo.
Does what it needs to do Really helped me practice on some favorite songs w/ my makeshift band. Still some more songs I'd like to see in the library but for what it has right now, it's pretty good.
It's strength is its weakness One of the selling points of this app is that you don't have to search through a dozen tabs to find the best one - there is just a single one to select, which is the best available. The worst aspect though is that there is just a single tab to pick from, and large numbers of these are just plain wrong! In addition its transition time when switching between (for example)a lead in 2+ segments is far too long, making playing along to a song using this nigh on impossible. It needs some work.
Great Guitar tab app Works for me, good quality Guitar tabs with audio playback, I like the ability to slow the song down while I am getting familiar with a new song. Purchase once without being pestered to buy more & more add on's unlike some other tab apps
