Excellent for learning songs from Day 1. I bought a bass on Sept 3, and I can just about fully play a Bob Marley song, a 17 min Pink Floyd song, and a 7 min Beatles song, along woth parts of a bunch others. I've been playing less than 20 days, and don't feel like a beginner. I start at 15% speed, and notch it up as I learn. You can highlight sections and practice them over and over It has a 3 sec count-off option as well. Best 5 bucks I ever spent!
This is a FANTASTIC app. I would totally recommend it to those who know how to hold a gutiar, and know how to fret. In this app you don't even need to know the letter names! I love it because it's free! There are some features that you have to buy though😞... But you don't need those features, in fact I recommend not buying it. And for those who think that this is a "game" (play without physical gutiar) you need a gutiar to get purpose out of this app.😋😁🎼🎸
Trying it out for free after looking at the desktop version I thought it would be fun to learn it from my phone till, I found out in order to play the song you have to pay 6$ meanwhile the desktop version at least let's you play the song but here you have to pay. The only thing good is that there's lots of tabs and your able to scroll through the tabs. But to be honest I really did not like this.
Very misleading, advertised as a free app with online purchases but the tabs won't even play without purchasing full service. Don't download unless you plan to purchase the full version, you are better off using the browser. Overall you are better off using TuxGuitar and skip over Songsterr altogether.
Genuinely like the database of songs most of the tabs are also quite accurate. My big problem comes with the app itself being very glitchy. Frequently cuts to zoomed out View that is unreadable involuntarily and also becomes unresponsive when trying to touch on a certain area to move back to part of a song. This makes it very difficult to work with when you're trying to learn a specific tricky part and not wanting to play it on a loop constantly
Updating my original review, have been using for about a week and while the tabs are pretty accurate they're not 100% accurate this is very frustrating if you want to sound exactly like who you're covering. Often the tabs are needlessly complicated and or wrong to the point of being much more difficult than the original recording. It does have some great features though and I will continue using it but unfortunately the tabs need to be double-checked if they sound off or feel overly difficult.
Fixed ANR on startup on some devices.
