About this app

Travel and dance with the Nutcracker is the second part of a collection of two independent applications dedicated to the Nutcracker. The first application "The real story of the Nutcracker" tells of the extraordinary fate of a young man called the Nutcracker, who was transformed into a pitiful wooden man by the Mouse King thirsting for revenge.

The second part "Travel and dance with the Nutcracker" immerses us in the dream of a feverish young girl falling in and out of consciousness, who gradually falls in love with her toy, the Nutcracker. As she sleeps, she roams through wondrous worlds and her growing love imbues an increasingly human form on her toy. Just like the first volume of the tale, this app offers an interactive journey.

Sonic Solveig has created a musical app featuring the interactive tale of the Nutcracker, as well as musical games, music to the Nutcracker ballet and interesting facts about this great literary and musical classic.

For kids aged 6 and upwards

The app's main features:

• A story-telling mode. By keeping your finger on the screen, the story and music scroll at the desired pace.

• Interactive frames interspersed throughout the story. This let you recreate sounds and melodies, allowing you to carry on with the story.

• A game zone (music, image and sound-based memory games, musical jigsaws, educational games based on instruments in a symphony orchestra)

• Illuminating information about the musical and the literary work in anecdotal form: the invention of the celesta, the relationship between the living and the mechanical …

• A selection of the best Nutcracker ballet tracks in digital format, allowing you to scratch the record as it plays. You can enjoy the magnificent, renowned performance by the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Antal Dorati

What the papers say:
"Sonic Solveig's first app (Peer Gynt) was fabulous – full of trolls and birds. We can't wait to see this Nutcracker app." La Croix
The originality of Sonic Solveig's concepts were recognized at the Grands Prix de l'Innovation de la Ville de Paris (2015) innovation awards and by the Human Music Award, presented by La Fevis and the Orange Foundation.
