Constant merging of apps then removing functions is annoying and pointless. I preferred having the the seperate "Videos" and "TV and Side Viewer" apps personally. I used the latter for its TV listings mostly, then you merged them, I was initially unhappy but eventually came round to it (though I continued to dislike the UI, colour scheme and dreadful presentation) then you remove more functions making this app even more pointless to those who don't own a Bravia TV. Sony, face up to it! You are slacking (and that is putting it kindly)! If it ain't broke, don't fix it! You've been in the game long enough for us as a consumer to have the right to expect nothing but the best from you in both the software and hardware worlds. SORT YOUR ACT OUT!
This app has lots of bugs, pointless features/removed useful features... Remote should be the apps main screen, voice add on does not work as required, repeatedly can't communicate with TV even though you can use the remote to control the tv.... Only use it because after breaking the remote that came with the tv, I refuse to pay for an overpriced remote
To be honest I hate it. I loved when the separate "videos" app and this app were separate I have no need for this app yet just to now watch my videos I have to use this crappy app. I liked being able to continuously play my videos without having to choose the next one when it was time to watch the next video.
The older version of this app was a better experience with swiping down video like you tube and still watch said video on smaller player. You guys went backwards here. This app is horrible.
Best app ever. Simple to setup if you have your home network to the tee. No issues, a little bit complicated, worth it.
The decline of Sony continues. Removal of functions, slow buggy updates (android TV). Go back to basics Sony and deliver the basics before trying to add extra features because it's not working and your tarnishing what's left of your name. I've thought about it, Sony has simply not embraced customer feedback. Sony used to have great ideas but now companies need to tap into the ideas of the consumers and listen to their feedback for improvement. Sony has not done this effectively so they continue to decline. Look at Android TV. It's stalled under Sony because they don't listen and worse, they provide little or no feedback
