Permissions

• When you turn on App Protection, the app uses the Device Administrator permission.
• The Wi-Fi Security feature needs the location permission to get the name of the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to, even when the app is running in the background. The app doesn’t actually access or track your location.
• When you turn on Web Filtering, the app uses the Android Accessibility Service API to check links you open in supported web browsers. The app sends link addresses to SophosLabs to check for malicious, undesirable, or illegal content. Depending on the app settings, such content is blocked. No personal information is collected.

Battery and data usage
• Malware definitions update once a day to keep you protected. This uses a small amount of data.
• The initial full scan of every installed app causes a one-time increase in battery usage.

Data safety
• The app doesn't store your web browsing history.
• When the app is managed by Sophos Mobile, your organization can see details about web pages the app has blocked or warned about.

Great overall free security application. I presumed it would be a battery drainer but was pleasantly surprised. User interface designed really well and user experience seamless, easy to configure. Scans are fairly fast, but cannot comment on accuracy as no threats as of now have been detected (which is a great thing if accurate!!). Really recommend this application!

The best android Antivirus I've ever used. No ads & it's free! Straight away that's one up on it's rivals. You also get a lot of options to really lock down your device. Usually features like password management, back ups, remote wipe & scheduled scans are extra features on paid versions of antivirus. Not on this one, it's all free. Can't recommend enough! 😀

No ads. Plenty of features found in the app menu. Great, actually has a menu! And it's free! So far so good. (I hate it when you download free virus apps and a lot of them don't even have a menu. You can't even see what they're supposed to be doing) This is the most comprehensive menu I have so far seen with no intrusions on a free app that has various features to toggle on. So far, all is well.
