Permissions
• Permissions are required to monitor incoming data, and to detect and stop threats. More info: https://sophos.com/kb/117499
• When you turn on App Protection, the app uses the Device Administrator permission.
• The Wi-Fi Security feature needs the location permission to get the name of the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to, even when the app is running in the background. The app doesn’t actually access or track your location.
• When you turn on Web Filtering, the app uses the Android Accessibility Service API to check links you open in supported web browsers. The app sends link addresses to SophosLabs to check for malicious, undesirable, or illegal content. Depending on the app settings, such content is blocked. No personal information is collected.

Battery and data usage
• Malware definitions update once a day to keep you protected. This uses a small amount of data.
• The initial full scan of every installed app causes a one-time increase in battery usage.

Data safety
• The app doesn't store your web browsing history.
• When the app is managed by Sophos Mobile, your organization can see details about web pages the app has blocked or warned about.

First I want to thank the wonderful people that make Sophos what it is, and that they care enough about people and their security and make it free. I've been familiar with this app for years and they make the UI and settings so user friendly people like myself are able to easily use. They give me peace of mind, free and I watch for additional offers. THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY AND WELL ! Also they give you the option to turn the notifications off.

The best for Mobile and Highly Underated. Hope they continue to improve features and keep up to date with all the sophos mobile apps. I notice the interceptx app is download-able but the sophos security backup app isn't updated enough for my new phone. Witch is the app that insures the intecept x doesn't stop running. Sure you guys are working on it. Thanks for the security. Good so far. 5 stars and highly recommend.

Please add the ability to scan for Windows, apple Mac, and Linux #barware cause these files can move to another system environment by lateral movement from our phone when connected to a new IOT device. I've had this happen multiple times within the last couple of years. This has very high battery background usage and so should be set on restricted!
