Update this instead of releasing sky safari 4 Paid 14 bucks for this app. They stop development and release sky safari 4 and expect me to pay for essentially the same app agian. Bad way of doing business.
Eats tablet batteries for breakfast... I have this on my S3 and it does the job well. Installed it on my Hudl to find that even though GPS is switched off and I'm not using GPS to find my location in SkySafari, the app has had a constant drain on my tablet battery since installation due to GPS use... Baffling!
Best app indeed I have a samsung tab8 , using sky safari plus . I bought the RN-270m for my Meade LX 80 telescope that I have set up in EQ mode( BlueTooth ). This combination is perfect for me ! I was using the program from meade plus the 505 set up / what a pain . I can get this running in a minute and start enjoying the night . Also I operate my dslr to get my shots for the night . Perfect !
On MotoG - Android Nice app but crashes beyond repair every couple of months. Looks like they want you to upgrade and pay again for the new version.
Suits my curiosities wonderfully This is my kind of astronomy app. The appearance is lush, and I can just look around (including through that pesky planet under my feet) and visually explore, or I can go orbit other planets, moons, and stars. It's really amazing. Where it doesn't necessarily excel is in looking ahead for noteworthy astronomical events, which is more the kind of thing Mobile Observatory seems to do well (but the two apps just have different niches). This app also seems to freak out a little more in compass mode than Mobile Observatory does, which is why I docked it a star.
Charging $14.95 for update I bought this in December and now I'm supposed to pay for it AGAIN to get the "new" version update? NOT. Done with these greedy pirates.
