About this app

Mobile application of the Sparklo reverse vending machines (RVMs) network rewards program.
It is a great way to hand over empty plastic bottles and aluminum cans for recycling easily and profitably.

REGISTER
Everyone can go through the registration procedure in the point program, regardless of whether they have previously used a RVM. You only need to enter your phone number.

FIND THE NEAREST SPARKLOMAT (RVM)
In order to get points, use the RVMs map section in the app, find the nearest RVM and hand over empty plastic bottles or aluminum cans that have accumulated at your home.

SAVE UP AND EXCHANGE SPARKLO POINTS
The current balance of points is updated online in your personal account, immediately after the session of handing over containers.
For each plastic bottle or aluminum can accepted by a RVM connected to the Sparklo Rewards program, you get points (the amount depends on the country).
You can exchange them for any partner offers that you see in your personal account.

Ratings and reviews

The app and service are very poor. The app shows the machines are working, and when reached, they are either full or not working at all. And they remain unavailable for days and some machines for weeks. Unfortunately, this good cause program lacks the timely and robust service to keep people contributing to saving the planet.

Good idea but poor execution. Machines not working most of time. Worst, it's showing as working in app, green on the machine itself but doesn't detect any bottles. Imagine you brought a huge bags of bottles only to discover this. Since I rely on public transport, it simply become a burden and waste of effort.

Good initiative, people became responsible and started to collect separately plastic bottles and cans. With regret we understand that not all, I might say few sparklomats are accepting cans, which is very disappointing. I hope to have a review of this decision.
