The vision given to the set man or senior pastor of Scripture Pasture Christian Centre is to see the fulfillment of Ephesians 4: 12-13:
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ; till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ
We believe that Christ is coming for a perfect Church, without spot, wrinkle, blemish or any such thing:
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
From this we see that the Church must be prepared or perfected for the Lord’s return. The emphasis of our ministry, therefore, is on perfecting firstly the nature and then secondly the character of Christ in the saints:Matt 23:26
26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
In this regard, we hold the following beliefs:
THE BIBLE AND SALVATION THROUGH JESUS CHRIST
We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired ,inerrant, and only infallible, authoritative word of God; that in the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments we find the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of men, and the Divine source for all Christian faith and action.
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. Further, He arose bodily from the dead and ascended into Heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Mediator and we look forward to receiving Him as our soon coming King.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but fell into sin and is therefore lost; only through regeneration by the Holy Ghost can salvation and spiritual life be obtained. The shed blood of Jesus and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation.
