Freedom Of Choice. I truly admire the people that works at the Free Music Archive and those artists who contribute to their cause. This app in particular is an excellent Beta version, and it has quite a few bugs, that I'm sure will be figured out very soon as this is a GNU project. It's commendable, and some users here need to be reminded that this is a non-profit, listen pre-cleared music that can be included in multimedia projects. These guys are not here for the buck and they are neither Google or Apple, so their development resources are limited. Bear that in mind.
Crashes on the S5 Its nicely laid out but please fix the crashes.... When i open up some genre it just stops then crashes..... Or if i scroll down too fast it stops and crashes. Please fix this
Good BETA I'm excited to finally see that someone made a FMA app, and especially excited to see that it's released under the GPL. Works pretty well for what it is. Would love to be able to search, and choose whether to download an individual song or an entire album.
2-star now, but I want my 5-star app!! I agree Josh, but my ideal FMA app is going to include: - ability to LOG IN, play my favorites, playlists - STREAMING, and then every song played is cached on sd - better SEARCH, also browse by curator, other users - able to play mixes and single tracks, not just albums
Concept is great But, it forces close on me every time and the app doesn't carry all the music that's on the web site.
Good start It's a nice start. I'm looking forward to more streaming and less downloading. (Makes space management on the phone easier.)
-Initial Beta Release
-Ability to browse and download songs from the archive
-Songs already downloaded will not re-download (instead player will launch) when found in the FMADownloads directory
-Short-term caching reduces load-time and network-usage when browsing the archive
-Support for both handsets an tablets
