Best app ever Great app for people who work online. ;) 10000%.. if it's not working for you, you either have a bad internet connection or aren't doing something right. Read the instructions also make sure you have a gmail account you are sure to find your device. I have had this app for 2 years and I work online. This is the best app ever. It's a one time purchase and you can reuse it on any device. For the developers, I think you very much for making my pad and both of my phones into a computer.
Neat for ipad! ...oh, wait, we have Android devices here. This is better than Jumpdesktop since unlike that program (on Android) the right mouse can be clicked with a long tap. But both of these programs are terrible with the keyboard input. They put a row of extremely tiny keys at top of screen for CTRL and ESC and other keys. They are too small to be read by human eyes. I have a Note 4 and they are too small on that screen. So unless you install an alternate keyboard program (hackers keyboard, or programmers keyboard) and switch to it every time you use Splashtop, it is a pain to do anything but mouse click. I guess the developers know their product stinks too as the screenshots show no keyboard and the video is from ipad which does have special keys accessible from its default keyboard. This would be better than Jumpdesktop except you can ONLY access a computer on the same network - so if you are home, you can access you PC from your phone across the room. To access PC from down the street, or in a hotel room in another city - you need to pay annual subscription of $16. Dumb. I've switched to free TeamViewer. It isn't wonderful, but is FREE and does work for remote access.
Longpress the task switch I purchased this because the free version charges you to connect via the internet. This version is supposed to allow you to connect through the internet using a gmail login, but I could not find the option for this with the Galaxy S. I wrote to CS and they told me to longpress the task switch to access the menu. Seems to work now.
works only some of the time i don't know if it's because my phone isn't top of the line, but before the last two updates it worked reasonably well. now i have to reconnect like5 or 6 times, ctrl+alt+del, and hope i can get it to connect. it never shows up via the ip address, only the Google connection. i paid for a full year of service, now kind of regretting that. it worked fine when i first got it, but now barely works. idk if it's because I'm trying to play ffxiv remotely or what, but kinda bummed. seems like a good program at 1st.
