New update made me switch to another music app
fantastic app, I love being able to stream so many different genres and artists. Unfortunately, I continue to run into an issue when casting on another device beyond my phone where the app doesn't update which song is playing, despite the songs continuing to play in a normal fashion. Due to this bug, I am forced to exit the app, force close it, and then re-open the app to adjust my songs. All I want is to be able to move back and forth through my songs. I will adjust my rating when I am able to do so.
Since finding everything this app can do, I never use my iPod anymore. As a matter of fact, that thing is a dinosaur compared to everything my Samsung G4 can do thanks to Spotify! Love the custom playlists you can create, love the playlists you can use that others have created! I'm a very sociable person but you'll rarely see me walking without my music and headphones on now. Only difference is, I'm jammin'! If you see me, smile and wave!
Totally worth the price. Great library and complete offline support. I just wish they'd add actual features with these frequent updates. For example: Lyrics feature has been promised a year ago, and it's still not there. Also, we can't do custom sorting for playlists, like really? On top of that, they don't publish release logs. We have no way of knowing if they are actually adding features.
While I like the Spotify service, the app has some issues. Sometimes, it decided to dump all my offline playlists. Not something I like to find out on my walk to work or 10 seconds before I am about to walk out the door. Also, I've had issues with removed or played songs taking up my phone's storage. This is handled fairly easily by uninstalling and re-installing, giving me back gigs of storage, but this shouldn't happen in the first place. Spotify = great; App ≠ great.
Still no option to block explicit songs - surely adding a toggle for this feature can't be too difficult - for a subscription I pay a fair bit of money for - I would appreciate being able to use it around my kids without worry. Also, the shuffle feature is glitchy. The music selection is great but overall the app is not worth the subscription fee.
We’re always making changes and improvements to Spotify. To make sure you don’t miss a thing, just keep your Updates turned on.
