I love Spotify. The music quality is great, with small file sizes so it doesn't take up much space on my phone. Premium is well worth it for Android devices. On Android you can only play shuffled playlists, albums etc, but on iPhone/iPad you can listen to them as soon as you click on them, without the added shuffle. The ads are annoying for non-premium buyers, and that only adds to the irritation of the playlists etc being force-shuffled. I am currently having a problem with the app, despite it's usual high quality running. It keeps deleting all of my offline songs when my phone restarts, and using up my data to re-download them when I'm out. Eg, my phone dies and I plug it into the charger when I'm out, it turns back on, and starts downloading. It's really getting up my nose, and I would love for this glitch to be worked out.
This is awesome for streaming music and finding playlists but why can't you download the music on your playlist on to the device that you are using?? I still rate it out of five, four because what I just said. Still really good!! There aren't as many songs as I thought though but any way, I still like it quite a lot. The music quality is awesome compared to my MP3 player on my tablet. Even know I have Dolby Atmos it makes Spotify have much better sound quality. I listen to it all the time and if I don't than I will still think about doing it and it always turns out to always be a yes.🎶🎵🎧 I really like Spotify.
I hear an ad and am suppose to get 30 minutes of ad free music. But I do that and too often I hear 1 or 2 songs & then get an additional 2 minutes of ads immediately after the second, if I'm lucky, third song. Rarely do I get 30 minutes uninterrupted minutes of music. If it's in the small print of their user agreement as to why this is. Then that's a horrible way to trick users to listen to music on this app. I don't mind listening to an ad or two after 30 minutes of undisturbed music but when I hear the 30 minutes of uninterrupted music disclosure before an ad then get a a song or two then more ads, it really makes me hate the products I hear about during that second, unexpected ad break within the promised uninterrupted 30 min. Would be a 4 to 4.5 app if it was just honest. It's such a good app...with a big IF ONLY hanging over it.
I've used Spotify for over 2 years now, and am very pleased with the service and ongoing improvements. Though, one thing I would like to see added is a folder that keeps track of the songs that you remove from your library (possibly for 7 days or so). I've caught myself a few times accidentally removing songs, and on other occasions going to listen to a song and realizing it is no longer saved. As someone who is passionate about the music they listen to, and keep, it would be a safeguard that I'd like to have. Keep Rockin, Paz
The new update is a mess. I'm trying to delete my downloaded songs to clear up space but it won't even show the songs that I have downloaded. It keeps telling me to fix the filters I have but I don't even mess with the settings that much. It is still crashing even after the last udate, the Android version needs a lot of work done. I'm considering canceling my subscription. Please fix this, I love spotify more than any other app but lately it has been a disappointment.
I don't know why there are so many people reviewing this app expecting all the features to be free. If the music is free to download and the app has no ads, the artists and the spotify employees don't make any money. It's £10 a month (£5 for me because I'm a student) and you have access to almost unlimited music and podcasts. Anyone who says that isn't a good deal isn't living in the real world or is downloading music illegally. It's well worth the money. I love this app. It's easy to use and I rarely can't find a certain song on it. When I can't it's usually because it's a little known artist or some early work or something. My only issue with the app is that it sometimes randomly crashes which means I have to restart the app and sometimes my phone. I'm not too sure why this happens but some other reviews have said it's to do with the recent update. If this was fixed it would easily get 5 stars immediately.
