I have the mobile and desk top version. Payed premium. And i love it. Best part is. What ever songs they dont have i can go to the desk top version and mp3 them from YouTube and have them. It's tricky to get used to knowing ur way around it at first but its a pice of cake. I have no complains about spotify and iv had it for a year and a half. I highly recommend getting it and i highly recommend paying for the full package. And im cheap as hell. I won't pay monthly for anything. But this. Is worth it.
My only issue is if I want to play a specific artist on shuffle, I don't really want to hear other artists more than the singer I'm trying to listen to. I understand trying to get people to buy premium but with adds and limited skips, sticking to one artist shouldn't be a big deal. Otherwise great app even without paying for the premium membership.
Best £10 You could wish to spend if you like music. Simple. Mine is included in my phone contract so even better value. I streamed over 110 hours of music this year and I don't even feel like I used it much. The song radios and curated playlists allow you to discover brilliant new songs and artists you would never have come across otherwise. My only gripe is when I search an artist, I can't just get a list of all their songs and choose the one I want. There is a top 5 and beyond that, I have to search through all the album's if I don't know the song name.
I like this app, but I think it needs many features that are available on spotify for IOS. Not features really, I mean like making a queue or adding songs are much more easier actions sliding on the screen. An actual feature we need is the way you can listen to the hook or most famous part of the song pressing the song in a list. If you add those things, I'll give you ★★★★★
Just increased my rating to 5 stars due to your recent sharing option additions! SMS sharing is something I was really hoping for. Still leaving my original review below about queuing controls (I'll see if anything is better yet and update then). Better queuing controls are desperately needed. You can click a song from an album or a playlist, and boom your progress in the previous queue you were listening to is gone. If you go back, any songs from the previous list or album you were listening to that you already heard, will be played again. It's the biggest falling short of Spotify. The UI needs to be optimized a little more as well, but it's pretty good as is.
The app is brilliant, but a lot of times too brilliant for my device. It gets stuck too often and doesn't load. There are some tips on the Internet but after a while they don't work anymore. What I'd like to see, on the mobile version, is a button, to switch between two Spotify modes. One would be the hard mode, how it is now (status quo), and the other would be the simple mode, where you won't have all options available but searching and choosing a song is. So the basics that you need. That way our phones could handle it a lot better, and we all still keep the cool mode that we have now as an option. Would make the app simpler-> easier for the phone to load - would be better, noah
