The official Electric Sheep application for Android, and winner of a ZKM app art award! Infinite updating live wallpaper as well as interactive app, animations created by a cyborg mind consisting of 450,000 computers and software. The only wallpaper with animated and evolving Fractal Flames. Excellent for meditation, relaxation, and visual dreaming at any time.
It comes with 200 download credits built-in (twice as many as in v1.4), each good for one sheep. After they run out you can get more credits with an in-app purchase (for half the price). After downloading the initial flock, you should get a few more each day.
The app is specially designed to minimize power consumption. With normal use it should have no measurable impact on the battery, however when it's first installed and is downloading the initial flock it takes more power. It has an option to only download when on a WiFi network, in case you have a limited data plan.
Once you install and run it, tap the screen to bring up the status overlay, or hit the menu button to see the main commands, including the preferences where you can change the speed (FPS).
By default the speed is set to slow so it's not too distracting and doesn't use too much battery. If you want it to go faster, use the preferences. You can also set it to stop running when your battery gets low.
Note: the sheep that you download are saved on your SD card. You can back them up yourself, and share them among your devices. But if a device is wiped, the sheep on it are lost. You can restore the app, and it will come with points that you can download new sheep.

Live Wallpapers don't get any better than this. Anyone with an AMOLED screen is in for the sweetest eye candy a cellphone background can give. The singular downside is that there isn't any real interactivity, but in this case, who needs it? It's a wallpaper, not a game. It's battery-friendly and simply breathtaking. If you're searching for the ultimate live wallpaper, I congratulate you for having found the best one on the market, and the downloaded Sheep get better as time progresses. I find more entertainment in watching this than playing mobile games.

I love the animations. They could have a better resolution, but it does not bother me too much. I will give 5 starts if you would fix daydream mode. The sheep runs for about 30 seconds then the screen goes black. I have tried different settings and experimental fix mode but it made no difference

Great! Loving the app. By the way, when I downvote a sheep, am I really voting against it? I wish I could just delete it, because all sheeps are great, but some are not what I'm looking for at the moment. The only thing I would like in the app is to chose between using internal storage or SD card...

Neglected and starting to show. I'm unable to download any more sheep, despite having 134 credits. Only used ~200 MB of the 1000 I've allowed, yet every time it checks for more downloads, it just restarts the timer. Have it set to download anytime, doesn't matter. Problem persists after reboot. Went to the forum to try and find a solution. Their forums are dead and full of spam. The project on GitHub appears dead as well. So much potential for this to be awesome, yet it is falling short. Please, don't let this project fall apart.

Oh. My. God. This is absolutely amazing. I've lived the sheep for years, and having it in my hand makes me feel like some kind of God-King. I use it as wallpaper. In app, you can double tap and browse sheep. I just discovered that, and my head exploded. Best $2 ever spent. I can't wait to get to a projector.

Love & Wishes I love the idea of breeding my own flock and capturing them at peek moments. Just wish there was more functions to do those two things. And, I'd like to keep my beloved sheep...forever.
Seems to be neglected the app is great but it's now nearly 2 android versions behind. Will it ever get an update? The world will never know.
Electric! was my favorite screensaver from 1998 till Windows 10 (some Electric Sheep users might know it). Since it doesn't run on my Windows 10 machine anymore, I was very unhappy (actually it's still working on a Windows XP virtual machine which was used for apps that had compatibility issues running on Windows Vista and Windows 7, but now I'm keeping it actually to view the Electric! screensaver once in a while). Then two weeks ago I discovered this one, Electric Sheep. Wow. Smashing. That's the one that's running on my Windows 10 now. And on my Android smartphones. Well actually, to be honest, I got myself a cheap second hand S3 this week. It is resting on my desk now, next to the computer screen, running Electric Sheep 24/7 (my primary smartphone had a hard time chargin' while showing electric sheep in daydream mode, so I had to get a dedicated device). Six stars, actually. I'll have to revise my rating policy (since I can only give 5 stars for this app, this means that many apps I rated 5 stars aren't quite 5 stars effectively). :) Made my day. And maybe my year.
Resolution isn't great I love the desktop version of this, but the mobile version doesn't have very good resolution, and despite maxing out the storage capacity, I only see the same 5 sheep over and over again

Does not work on galaxy 6 Worked fine on galaxy 3 and galaxy 4, will NOT function on galaxy 6 as the cool wallpaper it used to be. Please fix, I miss my sheep.

Great when it works The live wallpaper will work fine for a few hours then it will crash and not come back up for a few hours...I love it when it's working and hate it when it's not haha

Spectral I've run this for a week now and it never fails to impress. On my Phone, Tablet and Android TV Box (where it's Ultra Amazing on a large screen LCD TV). Very smooth and dynamic I find the infinite evolutions very calming. Thanks!
Now up to 81 gigs of data in the last week Reinstalled everything including Electric Sheep last week. Today there was a usage warning. I have unlimited data, thank goodness, or I'd be in expensive doodoo.
Crashes Love the desktop version. This paid for version crashes constantly. I want a refund.

It has stopped working No longer runs on my Galaxy S4. Starts and freezes/crashes.
