About this app

Everyone has the right to feel safe at school. Kids and teens use Sprigeo to report bullying and school safety incidents. Someone at your school has been bullied and needs you to step up and help. Reports can be sent anonymously and go directly to your school principal. The app is easy to use with only three screens before the submit button. Most of the questions have a list of options to choose from, so you don't need to type too much information. You can also send in a report online at www.Sprigeo.com.

This irresponsible app has a misunderstood and totally unnecessary "feature" of anonymity (I guess because it was much easier to not implement any authentication/ID system) which makes it, ironically, the perfect tool for cyber harassing and cyber bullying. There is absolutely no deterrent to submitting false reports and getting fellow students in trouble if you're a bad kid in a school system who adopted this Sprigeo system. While bullying can be a real problem in some schools, this is the wrong way to go about it. Just look at the top reviewer bragging about getting so many people in trouble using this app. Anonymity is what empowers the worst internet trolls and harassers. The bullying report in this app is not going to be seen by your peers, but only by authorized school staff, so anonymity in this app is not a feature but just a terrible flaw to exploit here by the trolls/bullies in your school.
