I can't rate it higher, it is fantastic! I have issues with the game minimising or my phone turning going to black screen, when I go back into the game it crashes. Anyone know a fix :) *edit, went into extra settings, deleted the cache and it now allows me to minimise and go back into it, just not if I am in game and lock my screen*
This is an incredible game, but the port is lacking some key features. Especially when compared to other square rpg ports like final fantasy, I don't see why this game doesn't have in-game volume control. I like to rock my podcasts while I level grind my old school rpg, and that neglected aspect really grinds my gears.
No autosave. Automatically shuts down if the phone is locked or the app goes to the background briefly. And most importantly and frustratingly. This is not the full game you are downloading. You will constantly be prompyed to download more of the game. If you play these games while on road trips or on planes... you're out of luck. And the smack in the face after all this is that the controls for combat are not good. Chrono trigger's primary draw is it's varied and unique combat. But you won't enjoy it with this failtastic port.
Don't buy it, it sucks. Can't play this game offline i mean.. What... The... ****!! This game does not require internet, why can't i play this game without internet? Besides.. Square Enix doesn't deserve money that Squaresoft earned, all they do is **** up their legend, except for 12 they haven't made a single decent Final Fantasy, and yes that means 13 and 15 weren't decent either. Get an emulator and download all squaresofts roms for free you will be able to play that when you're offline like traveling by plane on airplane mode.
Game works great on my droid Razer. Comments about crappy battle system I hear I like to commit that if u swipe is when u switch targets , not by selecting . Gave it 4 stars because the DLC
This is the best game but the worst app. When using moves like slash that can target multiple enemies, the app will not let you select a different enemy. Fighting is a terrible experience in the app. Also, playing a mobile game without quicksave capabilities is just annoying. Square-enix has tons of mobile titles that have done really well. They need to rework major parts of the app so it has the same quality as the other titles that they have put out. It is very apparent that they did the minimal amount of effort in this port. Then they slung it out hoping previous fans of the game would snap it up no matter how many problems it has. I've only named two. There are many more.
Various minor bugs have been addressed.
This classic generation-spanning epic is available at last for portable devices!
