Patience, do you have it? This game so far is really good story wise. A lot of people seem to have issue with the movement button. Aside from that. I like this game. However, the initial start to the game takes, you guessed it, PATIENCE! This game is all about customizing your characters to tour desired preferences. You really need to spend time at the start molding your characters before even thinking about embarking on your journey. I spent close to 3 hours just leveling up my desired weapons and spells before even starting.
Still quite sucks... It sucked harder before, but it still sucks quite HARD. Don't get me wrong as I absolutely LOVE every FF episode but the PSP version is just KING compared to this cheap ripoff. Not being able to play the snow minigame is the hardest sucking part in my opinion. I would still go for console gameplay anyways.
Coming from the Final Fantasy I on Google Play, this game uses many familiar controls but with enough new innovations to keep things fresh. Spells can be single-target or cast on a whole group. The removal of the class system means you can build your characters however you want, just by playing them the way you'd want to play them. There are some pain points too though. In the opening area, if you head in the wrong direction you'll find yourself fighting monsters that can kill you in one shot. Once the party all dies, you can resume your game, but unlike in FF1 you'll only get to take 1 step before a battle starts.. meaning you'll find yourself in this endless cycle where you're forced to load from a save point or start over. Save your game in a bad area? Start the game over again! Be super careful where you save! There's also a technical problem in the character menus (magic, status, etc).. On my Nexus 6, the left/right arrow buttons are extremely sensitive and even trying to press the button as quick as I can results in a long enough press that it moves at least twice. With a max of 4 characters, supporting a long press on these buttons seems unnecessary to begin with.
Amazing Classic game I'm just getting into the final fantasy games starting from 1 previously I only played 7 but I play these classics and wonder were have they been all my life cos they are so addictive I just can't leave them alone and I'm definitely getting ff15 when that gets released but all these early classics are keeping me busy for now
Played almost to the third town but couldn't handle how often the app crashes... it was every ten minutes or so and if you aren't constantly saving you have to do a lot of stuff over again.
Soo good. I now have FF I-IX on my note 3!! Awesome game and love the fact it's a psp port. Touch controls work great as always. Only problem I'm having is it spazzes out and force closes every time I want to quit. Glad it's when I quit and not in game, so I guess I can't complain too much.
