About this app

ShockWiz is a tuning assistant for air-sprung mountain bike forks and rear shocks. It combines sensor hardware and this app to improve suspension set-up for all terrain and riding styles. ShockWiz is compatible with most air-sprung suspension forks and rear shocks, from many different manufacturers.

Why ShockWiz? Many mountain bike riders don't understand what their suspension adjustments do, or how to tune their suspension for best performance. ShockWiz's finely-tuned algorithms automatically determine what settings should give you the best ride possible.

ShockWiz is designed for all mountain bike riders, regardless of your riding style or how much suspension travel your bike has. It works on hardtails and dual suspension bikes.

Features
- Finely tuned algorithms deliver easy to use recommendations
- Tune for your riding style: Cross-country, Trail, All Mountain or Downhill
- Detect undesirable characteristics such as pogo, pack-down and bob
- Assess shock health — how well your suspension is set up for you
- Calculate air time
- Recommendations are displayed on the intuitive app

I have 2 shockwiz and I've been tracking rides for more than 6 months. Plenty of useful information..BUT... Calibrating shockwiz could be made easier. It won't come up with the same number each time you do it (no changes to shock or fork). I ended up coming up with my own approach which is way more consistent. After regularly saving ride profiles the app, for no explicable reason threw away all of them except the archived ones and it won't save new ones. Reinstalling app does not help. Useless

App looks like it's made in a high school project. Most free apps have better design. Does not look like the app for a 300$ device. But OK it functions, and the feedback is very cool but I miss access to raw data and a data meter (showing how much data had been collected). Some times I ride for a day, and it seems that it almost hasn't gathered any data (e.g. jump count=2). I would like some measure of number of data points, not the confidence bar %, which tells me very little.

Hi, the app will not connect via bluetooth without location services being enabled which I am not willing to do. I remember that this was not the case for previous iterations of the app. Can you tell me what the functional and technical requirement is for shockwiz/the app to capture location data as I assume it works flawlessly (as it has before) w/o this data? [EDIT after Dev. response] Thanks! However I installed V 8.0.0 today and am running Android 9 and had no troubles connecting via BT

Hi CB, Android users on 5.0+ must have location services enabled in order to connect to their ShockWiz devices. This is a requirement from Google for any app connecting to a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device. Rest assured that our app does not collect or use your location at all.
