About this app

There’s more to life than surviving asthma. Attack Asthma, Predict Asthma and Beat it.

We re-invented the peak flow meter so asthma patients like you can conveniently manage your symptoms and get on with life.

Why use Smart Asthma?

• World’s first AI forecast helps you prepare and prevent attacks

• The only system using CompEx events to detect your inhalers are not working

• Conveniently share asthma control data with your nurse/doctor in a few taps

How it works

• Personalised reminders to fit your lifestyle, to help give you back control

• Record Symptoms and Reliever inhaler puffs

• 3 colour zones tell you when you are getting better or worse

• The built-in Asthma Action Plan tells you what you need to do

• Follow the lung function of a loved one when they are not with you

Smart Peak Flow

The Smart Asthma app works best with the Smart Peak Flow device that measures your peak flow using light sensor technology and sends it to the app. It works with any smartphone, connects by the audio jack or our Bluetooth Adapter and is more accurate than normal peak flow meters.

Update to my previous review. I've learned I have "silent asthma" which means my first symptom is fatigue, then I might realise I'm breathing more shallowly through my mouth. No cough or wheeze until I have a full on asthma attack. But I also have fibromyalgia so fatigue is often present for me. I now realise that feeling tired may indicate an asthma flare up. The app helps me tell the difference. Also I think the CompEx alert is invaluable in helping me follow my action plan. Thanks so much.

For the modern asthmatic, this app is good. It records your peak-flows, grades them and let's you look at some basic stats. It also records your daily symptoms and logs reliever uses. The advice it gives is generic though. Export to CSV is nice. Setup for the Bluetooth was a little tricky as it didn't want to communicate at first. The beta "AI Prediction" is a waste of time at the moment. Best it could say after 11 days was "90% chance I'll be in either of the 2 zones I've always been in.

RE-REVIEWED Love it. Device is a little expensive and is pretty accurate. Recording is better now, and now is editable. The save button is brilliant now. You can also record inhaler use. Mouth peice is a bit wide for me too, and I've got a big mouth! Initially I gave the app 3 stars, but improvements are brilliant and make the app much more user friendly. The Bluetooth connector makes it so much simpler to use too. Well done. I look forward to further updates. Re-edited to get 5 year warranty.

Hey Rae Rae, Thanks for your review. We have taken your feedback into consideration, and have discussed to update the app with some of your suggestions. There is a note taking button after you take your blows, but I guess it is not as clear as it should be, so we'll be making that more visible. As well as the save button! Thank you!
